Located on the slopes of Table Mountain in the heart of Vredehoek, “Carlyles on Derry”, attracts locals and new comers alike. Established in 2002, Carlyle’s has been a meeting point for Capetonians and particularly Vredehoek residents. Whether it be a quiet after work drink, an intmate dinner or a boisterous celebration of sorts, we cater for all occasions.

Traditionally Italian themed, Carlyle’s offers delicious thin based, oven baked gourmet pizzas, fresh handmade pasta dishes as well as a variety of meat and fish dishes at very affordable prices. We endeavour to use the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients available. All our chicken is certified organic free range and all eggs used are free range, with vegetables sourced daily.

“Carlyles” is owned and run by two brothers, Rob and Murray, who along with their staff serve to compliment the warm and cosy atmosphere. Comfy couches, a well stocked, fully licensed bar, smoking area, as well as an intimate candle lit non-smoking area all lend to the charming laid back atomosphere that typifies the restaurant and the city that it in-habits.
